Angelina S Amore

Angelina Amore, nickname Margaret, and maiden name Angelina Connizzo died peacefully in Toms River, NJ on May 16,2022 at the age of 98

Angelina is survived by her children, Connie,  Carol Ann , and Anthony. She is preceded in death by her brother Alferd. Angelina was born on JAN 19, 1924 in New York City,  to Mary and Alfredo Connizzo.

Angelina was married to Anthony Amore  and welcomed three children into their home. Her children remember her as a strong independent woman with tremendous grit and perseverance. Angelina has always encouraged her children and grandchildren to pursue their goals.

Angelina’s work ethic was second to none in the fact that she had two full careers in her lifetime. Her first job was with the NYC Board of education where she retired at 55 and then went on to become an accomplished Librarian to the age of 85. Angelina firmly believed that family was most important in life and everything else came second as far as she was concerned. She always shared with people that a happy family is simply an earlier heaven!

Angelina was passionate about educating students and cooking. She was an active and dedicated member of St. John’s Church and often volunteered at the Italian American Club and Bergenfield Public Schools. 

There will be a funeral service Thursday, May 19, 2022, at 10am, at Riewerts Memorial Home. Entombment will follow at St. Raymond's Cemetery, Bronx, NY. Visiting Wednesday, 4-8pm.
