Ann S. Witkoskie

Ann S. Witkoskie. 99, a long-time Bergenfield resident, passed away on August 16, 2017. Born in New York City, Ann was raised in Bogota, N.J. by her parents, Johanna and Otto Pommer. Ann is predeceased by her parents and four sisters. A beloved wife and mother, she is predeceased by her husband, Benjamin, and her daughter, Joan. She is survived by her daughter, Louise, of Bergenfield and her son and daughter-in-law, James S. and Elaine, of Ocean City, NJ. She is the grandmother of James B. Witkoskie and Christine E. Morgan and the proud great-grandmother of five children. Ann will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Ann was active in Scouting all of her life. She was a den mother and Girl Scout leader and later served as an organizer for Girl Scout troops in Bergenfield. Ann continued her participation in Scouting as a member of the Order of the Evergreen. She also worked for the Girl Scout Council of Bergen County. A private cremation was arranged by Riewerts Memorial Home in Bergenfield. Her family will gather to celebrate Ann's life at a future date. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Ann to C.A.T.S.
