John Springstead Mar 2 2014 12:00 AM

My condolences to the family. Brendan was a great person and friend that will be missed by all that had the pleasure to know him. I will never forget the memories and good times we shared throughout high school and for many years to follow.

I would like to extend my deepest heartfelt condolences to the Gaffney family on the loss of your beloved son (Kathleen) and brother (Kevin). Brendan was more than a friend to me he was the brother I never had. Although it was only 8 years ago that we met and became friends. It felt like a lifetime. He had a heart as big as the ocean and not a mean spirited bone in his body. He will be dearly missed by all who ever came in contact with him but he is in a better place and we will all see him again. I know the pain and emptiness felt by me is dwarfed in comparison to that of the family. May God's love comfort you through these trying times. I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers.
