Brian Patrick Hartmann was called home to the Lord on March 16, 2024, in New York, NY. He was born on June 26, 1966, in New York, NY, to William and Mary Hartmann and the youngest of eight siblings. He was a beloved husband, adored father, and faithful friend. He would give the shirt off of his back to a stranger in need, and he was always good for a hearty belly laugh. Especially every year when he insisted, “it’s the Cowboys’ year this year.” He will be loved and missed by so many who were lucky enough to know him.
He was preceded in Heaven by his mother, Mary, and his father, William. He is survived by his wife Illiam Carrillo-Jorge, his children Richard and Tiarralynn Hartmann, Alyssa and Bradley Dillon and Joseph Hartmann, and his grandchildren Savannah and Macaire Hartmann, and Charlotte Dillon. He is also survived by his four brothers and three sisters, their spouses, and countless nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Brian was diagnosed with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL) in December of 2018, and he was ultimately diagnosed with Richter’s Transformation (RT) in January of 2024. He always hoped for a cure, not only for himself, but for the others fighting this disease. We share this information, so we can work together to further his legacy of advocacy. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the CLL Society in his name.
