Bridget M. Martin of Emerson passed away on May 5, 2026. She was a devoted mother, cherished grandmother, beloved sister, aunt, and loyal friend whose kindness, warmth, and spirit touched everyone who knew her.

Bridget’s greatest joy in life was her family. She was a loving mother to Michael Martin, Mary Patricia Tracy and her husband Tim, Kevin Martin and his wife Karen, Eugene Martin Jr., and Keith Martin and his wife Kristine. She was predeceased by her former husband, Eugene Martin. Bridget was also the beloved sister of Margaret, Peter, Thomas, Bernadette, Timothy, Michael, and Jenny, with whom she shared a lifetime of love and memories.

She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Zack, Sydnie, Marisa, Julia, Ethan, and Eric, all of whom brought endless joy to her life. Bridget treasured every moment spent with her grandchildren and family, always offering unconditional love, encouragement, laughter, and support. She also leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews who will cherish her memory forever.

Known for her compassionate heart and gentle spirit, Bridget dedicated many years of service to St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church in Bergenfield, where she formed lasting friendships and made a meaningful impact within the parish community. She will be remembered for her strength, generosity, sense of humor, and the way she made everyone feel welcomed and loved.

Bridget also had a deep love for Irish dancing, a passion that brought her great happiness throughout her life. Her love for Irish music, dance, tradition, and family gatherings created memories that will live on through the generations she inspired. The joy she found in celebrating her Irish heritage will forever remain part of her family’s story.

Bridget leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, family, and tradition that will continue to live on through all who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Visiting will be held Tuesday from 4–8 PM at Riewerts Memorial Home, 187 S. Washington Ave., Bergenfield. Family and friends will gather Wednesday at 9 AM for the Funeral Mass at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church, Bergenfield, at 10 AM. Interment to follow at Maryrest Cemetery, Mahwah.
