Carmela Abitante

Born in NYC graduated from Washington Irving H S and then graduated from Packard Jr College Always enjoyed the financial Field and worked for Harris Trust Savings Bank. Met my future husband Joseph Abitante at a Christmas Party. He was VP for Marine National Bank and at was love at first sight. Got married in 1960 and in 1963 had my son Stephen. Moved to Dumont NJ in 1965 then moved to Bergenfield in 1968 My passion was going on cruises every year went on over 29 of them and also enjoyed going to Atlantic City every year. I was also a member of the Italian Club in Dumont NJ in the early 90s and was a member of the bible school called S A L T for over 20 years I also loved getting my hair done from my dear friend every Tuesday morning. Carmela was the daughter of the late Mary & Joseph Falotico Mother of Stephen and survived by many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. Visiting Thursday 7-9 PM at Riewerts Memorial Home 187 S. Washington Ave, Bergenfield. All will gather at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church, 29 No. Washington Ave Bergenfield on Friday at 9:45 AM for the Funeral Mass at 10 AM. Interment Calvary Cemetery, Queens NY.
