Carol Defero

Carol Defero, age 67, of Bergenfield, NJ, passed away peacefully after a fierce battle with cancer on August 17, 2021. She is survived by her two daughters, Nicole, and Diane (and her husband, Paul) along with her longtime partner Donald Libonati. Carol  also leaves behind by her mother, Patricia Huber, sisters Diane (and her son, Eric), Linda (and her husband, Patrick), Laura (and her husband, Russ, as well as their children, Adam and Melissa), her brothers Frank and Michael Miller, close Relatives and many friends. She was predeceased by her father Francis Miller and her brother John. Carol was known as a pioneer woman in the flooring industry. She loved the business and her clients with all her heart. She was a passionate home chef, an amazing baker and loved feeding everyone. She spent her free time with her family, a bottle of wine and her newest addition her puppy Pugsley. Carol also loved the NY Yankees, poker and when it was the first sign of summer she could be found on the water with Donald on his boat. We are heartbroken and will miss her dearly. The family will receive friends Saturday, from 3- 7pm at Riewerts Memorial Home, 187 S. Washington Avenue, Bergenfield. Funeral service Saturday at 6:45pm. Cremation private.
