Carole M. Baumuller

CAROL MAE MAAS BAUMULLER (81) - Carole passed away peacefully at her home in

Bergenfield on Saturday August 22, 2020, surrounded by her loving family.

Carol was born December 17, 1938 in Englewood, N.J. to Heinrich Augustus and Louise Eliza Grace Maas.  Carole resided in Cliffside Park, NJ and attended Cliffside Park High School. After graduating in 1956, she met Joseph Baumuller who she went on to marry on May 21, 1957. Carole and Joe settled in Bergenfield NJ where they raised their three children.  Carole retired from the phone company in 1992 after 30 years of service, where she was a Union Delegate of IBEW Local 827.  As a Class A Bowler, Carole travelled and represented her team all over the United States.  Carole was also a past President of the Bergenfield Emblem Club.  To stay busy after her retirement, she dedicated herself as a Lunchroom Aide at Jefferson School in Bergenfield for over 20 years, where she was affectionately known as Mrs. B. to all of the students who she loved so much.  Carole and her sister Viola also traveled the globe visiting such exotic locations as Singapore, Europe and India and always loved a great adventure. Carole also enjoyed spending time with her husband Joe at their country cabin in the Catskills.  Carole was a wonderful Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Aunt and Friend. She was always there to lend an ear or helping hand to anyone who needed one.

Carol is survived by her husband Joseph Warren Baumuller of 63 years, her two daughters Donna Baumuller and Denise Van Vlaanderen, her son-in- law Wayne Van Vlaanderen, her three grandsons, Justin Grubb, Wayne Van Vlaanderen and Todd Van Vlaanderen. 

She is also survived by her son Joseph W.  Baumuller, Jr. and his wife Bonnie.

Words cannot describe how much she’ll be missed by her family and all who knew her.   She

was a very special lady.

A Celebration of Life will be held September 13, 2020 at Riewerts Memorial Home, 187 S. Washington Avenue, Bergenfield, N.J. from 2:00 -6:00 pm.
