Cathleen Savino

Cathleen Savino(nee Daidone), 66, of Bergenfield passed away on September 7, 2016. Beloved wife of Robert E Savino. Loving mother of Robert J Savino and his wife Elizabeth. Devoted daughter of Mary and the late Joseph Daidone. Dear sister of Joseph Daidone of Hasbrouck Heights NJ, Christine Sanchez of Evans GA, Donald Daidone of Fort Thomas KY, and Carol Mainardi of Elmwood Park NJ. Cherished grandmother of Peter Xavier Savino and aunt of Juanita Worthy, Denise Selman, Glenn Mainardi, Donald Mainardi, Joseph Andrew Daidone, Olivia Daidone, and Jennifer Daidone. She is also survived by many great nieces and nephews who adored her. She was a teacher at Ridgefield Park Public Schools for 12 years and a substitute teacher at Bergenfield Public Schools for many years covering classes Kindergarten through High School and Art through Music. She was an avid lover of crocheting, knitting, needlework, and just simply making things for others. She was a member of the Clifton Quilters Guild, Embroiderers' Guild of America (Allendale-Bergen Chapter), Pieceful Stitchers of Hillsdale, and the Park Stitchers of Harrington Park. She also loved music, as it was a very important part of her life. We smile now remembering you and knowing you are at peace with Dad. Visiting at Riewerts Memorial Home, 187 So. Washington Ave., Bergenfield on Sunday 2-6 PM. Funeral service at the funeral home on Monday at 10 AM. Interment George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. In Lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the North Jersey Vineyard Church, of Teterboro NJ.
