Daniel Paul Brockschmidt of Bergenfield was born June 23, 1964 and passed away on March 16, 2018. Cherished son of Charlotte Joan and the late Harry Brockschmidt. Beloved fiance of Katherine Connolly. Dear brother of Joan, Harry (wife Mary) and Steven Brockschmidt. Loving stepdad to James, Kevin and Katherine Cawley. Devoted uncle to Jessica and Katherine Brockschmidt and great uncle to Brayden Reinhardt. Danny lived a life of service and just had the biggest heart. He was a founder of #Jersey Helping Jersey which helped Hurricane Sandy victims and coordinated Hurricane Harvey contributions from New Jersey to Texas. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and recently retired from GMC in NY. Danny loved cooking for his family and all aspects of Jersey Shore life. He was the one all the kids leaned on. Visiting Thursday, March 22, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Riewerts Memorial Home, 187 So. Washington Ave. Bergenfield. All will gather at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church 29 N. Washington Ave, Bergenfield on Friday at 9:45 AM for the Funeral Mass at 10 AM. Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to GOFUNDME /Daniel Brockschmidt Funeral Fund and in Danny's name to The Peoples Pantry of Toms River, NJ @thepeoplespantry.org.
