Daniel A. Trimboli

August 9, 1926 — June 1, 2009

Trimboli, Daniel A., 82, of Dumont died June 1, 2009. He was a parishioner of St. Mary's R.C. Church Dumont, an Army Air Corps veteran of WWII and a member of Local 802 of the American Federation of Musicians, New York, NY. Mr. Trimboli enjoyed a life long career as a musician playing woodwinds in some of Broadway's most well known shows including West Side Story, Evita, Pippin, CoCo, Tap Dance Kid and Me and My Girl. He also played with Leonard Bernstein and the N.Y. Philharmonic, The Metropolitan Opera House, Tommy Dorsey's Band, The American Ballet Theatre. He was the original flute player on the recording of Louie Armstrong's "What a Wonderful World". He also worked with a lot of talented acts including Judy Garland and Barbara Streisand. He taught music all his life with private students at Montclair State and New Jersey City University. He met Jane his wife who was a dancer while playing in Tommy Dorsey's Band in Windsor Ontario, Canada. He is survived by his wife Jane D. Trimboli (nee:Lambdin), son Andrew Trimboli, daughter Nancy Eskin and grandchildren Kimberly, Melanie, Anthony Eskin and David Trimboli. Funeral service at Riewerts Memorial Home, 187 So. Washington Ave., Bergenfield on Friday at 7:30 PM. Cremation will be private. Visiting Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Actor's Fund, 729 7th Ave., 10th Floor, New York, NY 10019
