With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Dee Helferich, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, who passed away on February 10, 2026, at the age of 79. Born on August 14, 1946, Dee lived a life defined by love, resilience, faith, and deep devotion to her family.
Dee was the heart of her family — a strong, caring, and selfless woman whose warmth touched everyone who knew her. She was deeply religious, and her faith guided her throughout her life, giving her strength in difficult times and shaping the compassion and grace she showed to others. She found comfort in prayer and trusted in God’s plan, living her life with humility and love.
She had a vibrant spirit and found joy in life’s simple pleasures. Dee loved music, especially Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Frank Sinatra, and she always had a soft spot for chocolate. Her laughter, kindness, and compassionate nature will be remembered forever.
Above all, Dee cherished her role as a mother and grandmother. She leaves behind her loving children, Michael, John, Tony, and Kimberly, and her cherished grandchildren: Jessica, Shelby, Antonio, Jimmy, Joseph, Christopher, Nicholas, Jenny, Kristina, Dean, and Stevie.
She was preceded in death by her beloved granddaughter, Justine, whom she loved deeply, and whose memory she carried in her heart.
Dee is also survived by her sister, Peggy Murphy, and her nieces, Tricia, Debbie, and Pam, along with many extended family members and friends who will forever hold her close in their hearts.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Paul Helferich, to whom she was devoted. Their love and bond remain a lasting part of her story.
Dee’s legacy is one of faith, strength, kindness, sacrifice, and unconditional love. Her memory will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her.
Rest in peace, Mom. We love you forever. Your love lives on in us all. You will always be loved and never forgotten.
Psalm 23:
“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”
