Donna Francine Rumian, 72, passed away peacefully at Alaris at The Chateau in Rochelle Park.
Born in Bayonne, New Jersey, Donna was a woman whose life was defined by love, faith, and selflessness. She was a devout Catholic and carried her faith quietly but deeply, allowing it to guide the way she cared for others and faced life’s challenges.
Donna lived for her family. Being a mother and grandmother was the greatest joy of her life, and her love for her daughter and granddaughters knew no limits. She was endlessly kind, deeply compassionate, and always willing to help—often giving more than she had to give. She had a special way of making people laugh, even during the hardest moments, and her warmth made everyone feel welcome and cared for.
Those who knew Donna knew they could always count on her. She would give you the shirt off her back without hesitation and never asked for anything in return. Her kindness, gentle humor, and loving heart will be remembered by all who were fortunate enough to be part of her life.
Donna is survived by her loving daughter, Kristin P. Rumian; her beloved granddaughters, Alayna Danielle and Olivia Nichole; her brother, Rev. Raymond Filipski; and her sister, Carole Forfa, and her husband Robert Forfa. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Henry Rumian, and her parents, Alfreda D. Filipski and Raymond L. Filipski.
A GoFundMe has been established for those who wish to assist with funeral expenses and help honor Donna’s life. https://gofund.me/742d291a2
