Doris E. Schmitt

Doris E. Schmitt (nee Reinhardt), 87, of Bergenfield passed away on July 23, 2015. Devoted wife of the late Harold J. Schmitt, Sr. Beloved mother of Harold J. Schmitt, Jr. and his wife Susan, Robert B. Schmitt and his wife Mary and Diane Buchanan and her husband Ronald. Loving grandmother of Hank, Michael and Janine Schmitt and Danielle, Michelle and Melanie Buchanan. A parishioner of St. John's RC Church, she was a member of the Rosary Society, New Beginnings, St. John's Golden Age Club and the AARP. She was Past President of Bergenfield Memorial Post #6467, VFW, Ladies Auxiliary and Past President of the Bergenfield Mayor's Senior Citizen Advisory Committee. Visiting on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Riewerts Memorial Home, 187 So. Washington Ave. Bergenfield. All will gather at the funeral home on Monday, July 27, 2015 at 10:30 AM for the Funeral Mass at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church, Bergenfield at 11:30 AM. Entombment to follow at Madonna Cemetery in Ft. Lee.
