Dorothy Edwards Kronewitter

Dorothy Edwards Kronewitter, 91, passed away peacefully on July 7, 2026.

Born on February 17, 1935, at Englewood Hospital, Dorothy was raised in Englewood, New Jersey. She was the beloved daughter of George Holick and Mary (Surowiec) Holick.

Dorothy was first married to Claude “Tex” Edwards, with whom she shared three children and many happy years before his passing. In 2001, she married Peter Kronewitter, who preceded her in death in 2010.

Dottie’s greatest joy in life was her family. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend whose love knew no bounds. She treasured every opportunity to spend time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Whether it was celebrating holidays, gathering for birthdays, or simply enjoying one another’s company, there was always laughter when Dottie was there. She had a remarkable way of making everyone feel cared for, and loved.

Dottie loved animals, never met a dog or cat she didn’t adore, and she proudly loved her grand-dogs and grand-cats just as she did the rest of her family. Her homemade apple pies became a family tradition that will be remembered for years to come.

Dorothy is survived by her children, Cheryl Foglio and her husband, Robert; Clifford “Butch” Edwards and his wife, Pam; and Daniel Edwards and his wife, Diane; her grandchildren, Kimberly (Andrew), Lindsay (John), Jennifer (Daniel), Jamie, Bryant (Kelly), Gregory (Amanda), Stephanie (Jose), and Michelle (Kendall); twelve beloved great-grandchildren; and many cherished nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

She was predeceased by her parents, George and Mary Holick; her first husband, Claude “Tex” Edwards; her second husband, Peter Kronewitter; and her six siblings.

Dottie’s legacy is one of unconditional love. She showed up for the people she loved, celebrated their accomplishments, comforted them through life’s challenges, and made every family gathering brighter simply by being there. Though she will be deeply missed, the love she gave will continue to live on through the generations of family she cherished so completely.
