Eileen Curran-Othmer

Eileen G. Curran-Othmer, age 87 of Heath Village, Hackettstown, NJ formerly of Bergen County, NJ and Conway, SC., passed away on Sunday, July 20, 2014. Born in Teaneck, NJ, oldest daughter of the late Consuelo Mary and Eugene Anthony Gorman of Englewood, NJ. Eileen Curran-Othmer was pre-deceased by her first husband Thomas Phillip Curran in 1970 and her second husband William H. Othmer in 2012. Eileen Curran-Othmer graduated from the New Jersey State Teachers College, Paterson, NJ and retired in 1985 from the Englewood Public School system, after 37 years of teaching. In semi-retirement, she was an Adjunct Professor at Horry-Georgetown College in Myrtle Beach, SC for 5 years. Survived by her five sons and five grandchildren, John Curran, Lt. Commander USN (retired), Kevin Curran and his wife Susan, Michael Curran, his wife Theresa and granddaughter, Kelly Curran, Robert Curran, his wife Lisa and granddaughter Taylor Curran, William Curran, his wife Donna and grandchildren Thomas, Timothy and Emily Curran. Survived also by her two sisters, Miriam Fox and Mary Stallone and two brothers, John Gorman and wife Barbara and James Gorman and wife Mildred. Viewings to be held on Wednesday July 23, 2014 from 2:00 - 4:00pm and 7:00 – 9:00pm at Riewerts Memorial Home, Inc. 187 South Washington Avenue, Bergenfield, NJ 201-384-0700. Funeral Mass to be held at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, Englewood, NJ at 10:00am and burial to follow at Madonna Cemetery, Fort Lee, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
