You would be hard pressed to encounter a lady as gracious, loving, giving, wise, comical and beautiful as Elaine. I have known her since 1995 when I was blessed to become friends with her daughter Lynn. Our children went to the same Catholic grammar school and she and her equally amazing husband Walter immediately became honorary grandparents to all the children.
Walter and Elaine were married for 61 years and their love and devotion to one another was palpable. If you saw one of them you saw both. They were fixtures at Mass and their faith was inspiring. There was never a school or Church function that they did not assist with, always with smiles and kind words for everyone. The other loves of their lives were Jeff, Lynn's twin, Paul, Lynn's husband, Paul Jr and Allisa, their grandchildren.
When Walter entered eternity a part of Elaine's light was extinguished. Having lost my own husband six years ago I tried to be the "big sister" and offer suggestions and extra helpings of love.
Elaine will be sorely missed by all whom loved her. The only comfort is knowing that this couple is reunited in heaven and is watching over all of us.
I will miss your advice, your wit, your laughter and style.
God bless you Elaine and Walter. I love you both dearly.

I had the pleasure of having Elaine in my life for almost a year, she became a member at our social club last year, and i have enjoyed her everyday since then. I know that we made her day a great one, but she made my day a funnier, lively day, every time she stepped in the door. I will always cherish the time I had with her, and I feel so grateful that she entered my life. Never for you Elaine, May you rest with your one and only love.
