Elba O'Leary

Elba “Penny” O’Leary (nee Rivera) entered into eternal rest on 11/9/2022, surrounded by her loved ones. She was predeceased by her husband of 40 years, Robert “Bobo” O’Leary. She is survived by her children, Eileen Martinez, Elizabeth Ruckdeschel, and Robert O’Leary Jr. Her grandchildren Christine and Erica Loughlin, Camryn and Andrew Garcia, and 3 great grandchildren Anthony, Mya and Benjamin, as well as many nieces and nephews, and foster children, all whom she loved dearly. Penny was an avid gardener, lover of animals, and a dedicated volunteer and advocate for domestic violence victims. No services are planned, as the family is respecting her final wishes. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made on her behalf to the Center for Hope and Safety or Bergen County Animal Shelter.
