Elizabeth M. Devine

Elizabeth Devine (nee Sheerins), 94 years old, passed away into her heavenly home on May 21, 2016 after a brief illness. Elizabeth was predeceased by her husband James. She was a resident of Bergenfield and Westwood, and lived in River Vale for the past 40 years. Elizabeth is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Marybeth and Gerald Quirk, grandsons William (Stephanie) Quirk and Christopher (Tanya) Quirk, great grandchildren Taylor, Riley, and Logan, brother John (Mary) Sheerins, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters Vera (George) Quinn and Rita (John) Flynn. A native of New York City, Elizabeth graduated from Cathedral High School before serving for 13 years as a School Sister of Notre Dame. Elizabeth later worked as a secretary for Cathedral High School for 10 years. Visiting on Monday from 4-8 PM at Riewerts Memorial Home, 187 So. Washington Ave. Bergenfield. All will gather at the funeral home on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at 9:15 AM for the Funeral Mass at St. John the Baptist R.C. Church, Hillsdale at 10:30 AM. Interment Maryrest Cemetery, Mahwah.
