Emily Violetta Marsilio (Tarantino) 88 years old passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 31, 2015. Emily was predeceased by her beloved husband Anthony John Marsilio, sisters Josephine, Helen and Vera and her brother Ferdinand. Emily is survived by her 15 loving children, Helen, Linda, Judy, Patricia, John, Mary, Peter, Anthony, George, Anne, Edward, Emily, Joseph, Thomas and Angela and their spouses. Emily is also survived by her sister Lucy and a brother George, 26 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild , sister-in-law Mildred and many nieces and nephews. Emily was born in the Bronx and raised in Brooklyn. She graduated from Bishop McDonald High School in Brooklyn. After High School Emily was employed as a key punch operator at the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company in NYC, where she met her husband Anthony. Emily was an artist at heart and painted many beautiful pictures, however after marriage she traded in her paintbrush and along with her husband moved to New Jersey to raise their 15 children. Emily's children are her greatest legacy. Emily instilled in them strength in character, a thirst for education and the gift of kindness and love to share with others. The lives of Emily's children have been blessed because of her. Visiting on Wednesday from 2-7 PM at Riewerts Memorial Home, 187 So. Washington Ave. Bergenfield. All will meet at the funeral home on Thursday at 9AM for the Funeral Mass at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church, Bergenfield at 10AM. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery in Hackensack.
