Evelyn MacClugage

June 4, 1950 — April 5, 2024

With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we bid farewell to a remarkable woman whose love and presence illuminated the lives of all who knew her. Evelyn MacClugage, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother was a beacon of light, a source of unwavering support, and a guiding force in the lives of her family and friends.

As an aide to special needs students, Evelyn’s compassion knew no bounds. She dedicated herself wholeheartedly to the well-being and development of those in her care, embodying the true essence of empathy and kindness. Her work was not just a job; it was a calling—a testament to her innate ability to see the beauty and potential in every individual.

Within the confines of our family, Evelyn was the heart and soul that held us together. She was the devoted wife of Gary MacClugage, whose love for each other was evident in every glance, every touch, and every shared moment.

As a mother to Anthony, Tommy, and Andrea, she showered us with unconditional love, unwavering support, and boundless encouragement. Her love was fierce yet tender, fierce yet nurturing—a constant source of strength and inspiration.

To her sister, Yolanda Tirado, Evelyn was not only a sibling but also a confidante, a companion, and a lifelong friend. Together, they shared a bond forged in childhood memories, shared experiences, and unbreakable sisterhood—a bond that transcended time and space.

To her grandchildren, she was a source of boundless love, laughter, and wisdom—a beacon of warmth and understanding in a sometimes chaotic world. Whether sharing cherished stories, offering gentle guidance, or simply offering a comforting hug, Evelyn reveled in the opportunity to nurture and guide the next generation.

As we mourn the loss of our loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend, we also celebrate the legacy she leaves behind—a legacy of love, compassion, and unwavering devotion. Though she may no longer walk beside us, her spirit will forever live on in our hearts, guiding us, comforting us, and reminding us of the profound impact one person can have on the lives of so many.

Rest in peace, dear mother. Your love will continue to be our guiding light, illuminating our paths and warming our souls until we meet again.
