Filippa “Pina” Romeo

Filippa, or Pina as she was known to everyone, peacefully passed away on April 13, 2023. She was 90 years old. Pina was a devout Catholic who lived in Dumont, formerly the Bronx and originally from Nicosia, Sicily where she met the love of her life and started her family. She was the devoted wife of Nicolo Romeo for 69 years. The beloved mother to Tina and Felicia and mother-in-law to Jimmy and Ralph. She was the adored Nonna to five grandchildren; Michael and his wife Lydia, Jennifer, Jackie, Stefanie and Jessica and one great grandson, Nicholas. She was a cherished sister to five siblings and Zia Pina to many nieces and nephews. She loved Italian music and dancing, playing Continental Rummy and most of all, spending time with her family and friends. Loved by all who knew her, Pina lived a beautiful life and will be missed dearly.

Visiting Sunday 4-8 PM at Riewerts Memorial Home, 187 So. Washington Ave. Bergenfield. All will gather at the funeral home on Monday at 8:30 AM for the Funeral Mass at St. Mary's R.C. Church, Dumont at 9:30 AM. Interment St. Raymonds Cemetery, Bronx NY.
