Gary Hemmer

Gary Hemmer of Dumont passed away on November 11, 2021 after a long battle with ALS. Devoted husband of Marilyn. Beloved father of Gary and his partner Sabrina, Marc and his wife Elyse Marie, and Kyle and his fiancé Stephanie. Dear brother of Robert and his partner Javier. Cherished grandfather of Luca. Gary was a councilman in Dumont and served as the Dumont Police Commissioner. He coached in the Dumont Little League, was president of the Dumont Soccer League, and was a member of the Bergen County Umpire Association. Gary loved golf and his Heinekens. He was an avid fan of the Raiders. Services are private. Memorial donations may be made to the Dumont Police Department.
