Hello, Michelle and Butch, Lisa and RJ, I was sorry to learn of your dad and Uncles passing, as well as your mom and aunt. I think of Mr. Moran as being a loud, friendly, athletic guy and both of your moms as being kind to my brother and me. You were good neighbors. Your grandparents were so quiet I never really got to know them, even though they lived close by. I hope you and your families are all well. You are in our prayers.

I knew Coach Moran through Pascack Valley. He was my gym teacher and baseball coach. In baseball, he tried to stop me from putting my foot in the bucket when swinging and keeping my head down on a ground ball to third base. To no avail. Later in life he reached out to me when I started my business. I appreciated his kindness. My thoughts and prays to his family.

Dear Family. Your Dad and Grandpa was a special guy. My heart is heavy now. We were both good friends at Springfield College and would see each other through the years at different athletic events. He had a couple of our kids at Pascack Valley. As a coach and teacher he was a true gentleman. We are in Florida, otherwise we would come to the wake. Our best to you all. Rest In Peace George. He will always be Mr. Moran to me, a student from PVHS, Class of 1973. He taught me to drive and was my teacher for physical education. Serious and stern, yet there was a kindness in him for all students. Years later, he coached my daughters in vollleyball at PVHS. My sincere condolences to his family.

He will always be Mr. Moran to me as well. He was a great human being and I offer my thoughts and prayers to his family. Mr. Moran was my baseball coach at Pascack Valley. Yes he was tough, but he was always fair and meant the best for everyone. I will never forget a game in 1971 where I finally hit a long shot over the left fielder's head and raced around the bases ( we had no outfield fence then) to home only to be called out for missing third base. Mr. Moran made me carry third base around to all my classes the next day so I wouldn't forget to touch all the bases next time. God Bless Mr. Moran and all of his family. Sincerely, Craig Sullivan

So loved your dad teaching me driver ed on the road in 1962 at Pascack.. He was young and handsome & kind. I have told this story to my kids and many friends since then; Sally, the idea is NOT to aim & hit every pot hole. Loved him. My best & my sympathy

George was a great umpire and teacher of softball! He was always willing to take the time to answer anything you asked whether it was easy or difficult. But mostly he was a great guy on or off the field!! RIP my friend!! Prayers for your family. John Klein

I am very sorry to hear about Mr. Moran's passing. I first got to know Mr. Moran while working at Camp Hilldaca with Michele, then had him as both a gym and driver's ed teacher. I have many great memories of the times I spent at the Moran household with lots of laughter. I regret that with the coronavirus situation, I cannot attend the service. My thoughts are with Michele, Butch and the entire Moran family.
