George F. Schlereth

George F. Schlereth, 83, of Waldwick born and raised in Hoboken formerly of Bergenfield passed away peacefully at home on October 1, 2014. Beloved husband of the late Muriel(Hancox). Loving father of Robin and her husband Michael Juliano and George Jr and his wife Flor. Chersihed brother of Christine Sheridan and the late Kathleen Schlereth. Dear grandfather to Tara Giannolla and Jason English, great grandfather to Ava Muriel English and uncle to many nieces and nephews. He was a retired firefighter with the Hoboken Fire Department, a retired stagehand of Local One IATSE, and a member of VFW Post 6467 in Bergenfield. Visiting Sunday 3-7 PM at Riewerts Memorial Home, 187 So. Washington Ave. Bergenfield. All will gather at the funeral home on Monday at 9:30 AM for the Funeral Mass at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church, Bergenfield at 10:30 AM. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery in No. Arlington. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the New Jersey Firemen's Home 565 Lathrop Avenue, Boonton, NJ 07005.
