Gladys Cooper (nee Kellner) of Dumont passed away on March 3, 2014. She was predeceased by her daughter Cheryl Susan in 1959, her husband Howard in 1992, her sister Evelyn Leopold in 1994 and nephew Alan Leopold in 2013. She is survived by her niece Doreen Leopold and nephews Brian and Lawrence (Susan) Leopold. Eight great nieces and nephews and seven great-great nieces and nephews. Gladys graduated from Children's Hospital School of Nursing in 1939 and was a school nurse in Bergenfield and Tenafly Middle School. She was a member and former Deacon and Elder of Clinton Avenue Reformed Church, Bergenfield and a member of the Eastern Star over 70 years. She had volunteered at Englewood Hospital for many years on Patient Recreation cars. Visiting at Riewerts Memorial Home, 187 So. Washington Ave., Bergenfield on Thursday from 10:30-11:30 AM with a funeral service at 11:30 AM. Interment at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Clinton Avenue Reformed Church, 58 James St., Bergenfield, NJ 07621 or your favorite charity.
