Henry Sohl

We are sad to announce the passing of Henry “Hank” Frederick Sohl of Oradell, NJ, age 92. Hank was loved by everyone he met and had a fulfilling life as a father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, husband, and friend.

Hank is survived by his wife of 38 years, Ruth Carole Sohl, sister Margaret, sons Jon (Sandy) and Drew, grandchildren Ryan, David, Justin, Emily, Abigail, and Jacqueline, great-grandchildren Liam, Ashlynn, Henry, Jaxson, and Archer, stepchildren Vicki (Ed) and Jack (Maureen), and step grandchildren Jessica, Jennifer, Edward, and Emily. He is predeceased by his sister Pauline and daughter Lisa.

A proud Navy veteran, Hank served in the Korean War and played baseball for the Navy Rockets. He was a long-time member of the Elks Lodge.  Always active, Hank enjoyed many activities during his lifetime including skiing, ice skating, softball, tennis, bowling and gardening. He was a devout Mets fan and an avid golfer, playing up until his untimely death.

Services for Hank will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2023 from 10am – 2pm at Riewerts Memorial Home, 187 South Washington Ave, Bergenfield NJ.
