Jean Nora Kanellopoulos

Jean Kanellopoulos (Nee: Shaughnessy) age 76, of Bergenfield NJ and formerly of Dumont, NJ died peacefully on December 29, 2022 with her family by her side.

She leaves behind her beloved husband Bob Kanellopoulos.

She was a devoted mother to Marykim Finck (Steven), George Kanellopoulos (Crystal), Krina Kanellopoulos, Andrew Williams (Denise) and Paul Shaughnessy (Andrea).

A loving grandmother to Eric, Shawna, Justin, George, Delilah, Brittney, Kayla (Carmelo), Courtney, Sofia and Samantha.

Cherished great grandmother of Peyton, Emma, Cameron and Riley.

Dear sister of Edward Shaughnessy and predeceased by her brother Thomas. She leaves behind her loving cousins Deborah Basile (Vincent) and Maureen Geri (Charlie).

Jean met her husband when they both worked at the Clinton Inn; she worked for The Record and loved being the owner of Ceramic Creations in Dumont & Bergenfield.  She enjoyed many clubs thru her lifetime including the Garden club, the Republican club, the Barrier free committee and she volunteered at Holy Angels balloon box.  She enjoyed activities at the senior center, but her favorite thing to do was play BINGO!!

Due to her love of animals, in lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Teterboro Animal Shelter in her name. 

Visiting will be held at Riewerts Memorial Home, 187 S Washington Ave. in Bergenfield, on Monday January 2nd from 12-2pm and 5-8pm.

All will meet at the funeral home on Tuesday January 3rd at 10am for the funeral mass at 11am at St. Therese Church, 120 Monroe Ave. in Cresskill.
