Joan S. Wypler

Joan Stevens Wypler passed away peacefully on June 9, 2024 after a short illness. She was born in the Bronx, New York in 1937. Her parents were Larry and Kathleen Stevens of Cresskill, New Jersey. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Wypler and her son David She is survived by 3 sons, William, Alfred and Patrick plus 9 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, her 2 brothers, Edward and Paul Stevens and many nieces and nephews. Joan resided most of her life in Cresskill, Tenafly and Englewood, New Jersey. She graduated from Tenafly High School and Fairleigh Dickinson University. Her business career included staff positions in banking and the medical profession. In her later years, she was employed by the Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Newark, and finally retired at age 85 At the time of her passing she resided in Belmar New Jersey. A mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Roman Catholic Church, Tenafly, New Jersey on June 15, 2024 at 11:30 AM. Interment will be private. Joan will be greatly missed by her extended family and all her longtime friends.
