I was saddened to hear about Joann's untimely death. My condolences to her family. I have such warm memories of the Matters from growing up on Lunn Avenue. My heart goes out to you. My sister Karen said it well when she said what a genuinely nice person she was and her extraordinary smile. She was kind and humble and I know she will be missed. My thoughts and prayers to you all.

George, Tommy and Family, Rita and I were shocked at hearing of the passing of a Family member. Time, distance, and the daily trials of life have kept us from visiting or growing close. We regret that. However, My brother Tom and I were close family, and he and Ann opened their home to us in 1963 while we awaited a house to close in near by Closter. These were a treasured few months we will never forget with a family which enjoyed love far beyond any other I have seen. Joann and Tommy were loved, and convey that to others. Rita and I will never forget that short period which bonded us all. We wish you fond memories and peace when the pain subsides. Your Uncle Lou and Aunt Rita Matter
