John G. Ferrari

John G. Ferrari of Bergenfield passed away peacefully on the morning of May 16, 2025, at the age of 78. He is survived by his wife Carol; his sister Corinna; his sons David (Debra) and Michael (Melissa); his daughter Christina; his beloved grandchildren Maya, Leo, Emilia, and Marina; his many nieces, nephews, and cousins; as well as his dog Penny.

John was born in Italy in 1947, and he moved to the United States as a young teen. He lived in the Bronx where he met and fell in love with Carol, who would become his beloved wife of 54 years. In 1973 they moved to Bergenfield to start their family.

John was a dedicated soccer fan, player, and coach to all of his kids and their friends. He could fix anything, made a mean eggplant parm, and was an avid gardener that could grow whatever he tried. He enjoyed being outdoors and he never left the house without a comb in his back pocket.

He was loved by the many people who knew him as Daddy, Cousin Johnny, Zio, Uncle John, Coach Ferrari, and to his four grandchildren who he loved dearly, Papa John.

He will be missed by all.
