John W. Mottram

John W. Mottram, 91, of Norwood, NJ, formerly Yonkers, NY and Tacoma, WA died Thursday July 29, 2004 after a long illness. John is predeceased by his wife Fay Burak Mottram (2002) and his sister Eleanor Stewart Blanchard. He is survived by his daughter Nancy J. Boyd of Dumont, NJ and his son Robert H. Mottram of Anacortes, WA , 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandsons. John was a lifelong resident of Yonkers, NY until his retirement when he moved to Tacoma, WA. In 1994, John and his wife Fay moved to Norwood, NJ. Mr. Mottram was a 1939 graduate of Pace University and a 1954 graduate of St. John's University. Mr. Mottram was an accountant. For 34 years he was the Secretary-Treasurer of Keiser & Co., Inc. Sugar Brokers, NY, NY. He was also the manager of Fairfield Enterprises, NY, NY, Secretary of the West India Co., NY, NY, Director of Industrial Sugars of St. Louis, MO., and Vice President, Treasurer and Director of the Buckeye Sugar Co. of Ottawa, Ohio. A religious service and celebration of life will be held on Monday August 2 at 11:15 am with the burial to follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Hastings on Hudson, NY. The Rev. John Holliday, Pastor of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Old Tappan, NJ will officiate. Donations maybe made to Life Source Services-Hospice, 230 E. Ridgewood Ave., Suite 307, Paramus, NJ 07652 or Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 106 Orangeburg Rd., Old Tappan, NJ 07675 John will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and his kindness to all.
