Guestbook

John was a blessing to his Christian congregation. He often played the French horn for worship and this was much appreciated. His musical contributions to the Christmas Eve and Easter Services of Saint Matthew's Ev. Lutheran Church of Bergenfield are remembered by all. My grown children who have moved away from this area, when told of John's death, remembered immediately and with pleasure those festival services. His was a pleasant nature and he was a friend to many. It was always easy to meet him and to pass some time in conversation. The prayers of the congregation of saint Matthew's will be offered this Sunday and every All Souls day in his memory. I was in the US Army and John in the Air Force and I salute him as a fellow service member and a veteran.

I am so sorry to hear of John's passing. My father Douglass always spoke highly of him and how wonderfully he played. My thoughts and prayers go out to your family at this difficult time.
