Joseph J. Banzaca

Joseph J. Banzaca, 71, of Bergenfield passed away on January 3, 2018. He had been a Bail Bondsman and owner of ASAP New Bail Bonds, Inc., in Hackensack and an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a very funny, happy-go-lucky man that was the best story teller you could ever come across. Devoted husband of Mary Ellen Banzaca. Beloved father of Catherine Banzaca and Michael Johnson and his wife Barbara. Loving grandfather of Kate. Dear brother of Maureen (Chickie) Castagnetti and her husband Frank, Linda Sue Huen and the late Randy Banzaca and brother-in-law of Maureen Hughes, Annie Turk and her husband Jerry, Melanie Shack, Linda Banzaca and Matthew (Skip) Huen. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visiting on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Riewerts Memorial Home, 187 So. Washington Ave. Bergenfield. All will meet at the funeral home on Thursday at 10 AM for the Funeral Mass at St. Mary's R.C. Church, Dumont at 11 AM. Repast immediately following Mass, at Hungry Peddler, 44 E. Madison Avenue, Cresskill, NJ (201-894-0718). Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation, 200 SE 1st Street Suite 800, Miami, FL 33131.
