Joseph A. Ottino

Joseph A. Ottino, 95, of Bergenfield N.J. died peacefully at his home with family lovingly and caringly by his side.

He was a beloved husband to his wife Emily Ottino for 48 years.

He was a beloved father to his son John Ottino throughout his whole life.

He was a cherished uncle to Gino and Carl Recksiek and Lynn Fasano and all of their extended family members.

Joseph or Joe, was raised in Union City N.J. and grew up there during the very difficult years of the Great Depression in which he was both a beloved and also a very supportive son to his parents, and to his sister Lena, during those very difficult years in our Countries history.

At a very young age, he proudly served his Country during  World War II in the Tank Division of the U.S. Army doing his part to help ensure the freedom we so fortunately enjoy in our Country today.

When returning from the War, Joe utilized the G.I. Bill to become trained and certified in the growing field of Television repair in which he went on to successfully open two stores called Television Laboratories in both the towns of Nutley and North Bergen N.J. with his partner Tom Azzara  for over 30 years.

After retiring from his profession, he went on to work for the Riverdell Public Middle and High School  for multiple years as a Teachers Aid in the Audio Video Department for both schools in which he was a cherished employee and friend to both the teachers and students utilizing his prior technical skills, abilities, and knowledge to not only very efficiently provide the teachers with the equipment they were in need of for their students, but to also simultaneously repair all of the equipment as well saving the schools consider amounts to their budgets over all those years of dedicated employment and service.

Joe was truly a gifted person of so many abilities and talents, he lived a very long, happy, productive, and fulfilling life that was filled with family, friends, and so many wonderful personal life fulfilling experiences.

He will be very sadly missed by all, especially by his son John, in which his spirit, will so very lovingly continue to live on in his heart.
