Born the second daughter of Walter (Pete)and Helene Otterbein in 1948, Judy began her life in Weehawken before moving to Bergenfield. She married her love Norman Hoyt, Sr on 9/7/1968 at Clinton Avenue Reformed Church. Judy was instrumental in founding the Friends of Music program in the Bergenfield schools, as well as the annual 8th grade dinner dance. She was also involved with the Bergenfield Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. Judy served as president, in addition to other office positions. She is predeceased by her parents, as well as her older sister Kay. Judy is survived by her husband Norman Sr., son Norman Jr. and his wife Tami, son Christopher, and grandchildren Ryan and Elizabeth. Judy also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, numerous friends and honorary granddaughters Kitty and Emily. Judy enjoyed her years working nights at Dunkin Donuts, so she could be home with the boys during the day, as well as her long career at Shop Rite where she worked as a bookkeeper She will always be loved and remembered by all from church to the Bergenfield Fire Department to the Bergenfield High School Marching Band, for not just her amazing cookies and delicious crumbcake, but her huge heart, warm smile and contagious laugh.
