Karen Wright (Buchta), age 68, passed away on March 10, 2023 in her home in Cresskill, NJ, surrounded by her family. She was born on September 5, 1954 in Hoboken, New Jersey. After having her two beautiful children she worked at the Wella Corporation first in the factory and second at the corporate headquarters. She also worked at Kings deli counter, enthusiastically serving her community. Karen was married to Tony Wright Sr. In 1973. Karen loved cruises and listening to music. Above all, Karen adored and cherished her family, taking every opportunity to bring them together for weekend barbecues at her house. Karen was also an unwaveringly dedicated dog mom, even as she battled cancer, she showered her cockapoo, Buddy with treats, toys and affection.
Karen is survived by her son, Tony Wright Jr., her siblings, John Buchta, James Buchta, Diane Munier (Buchta) and Denise Buchta, her nieces Tina Kelly (Buchta), Katie Buchta, and Anna Buchta, and her nephews Tommy Buchta, Michael Buchta, Chris Schreiber, Joseph Munier, Nick Munier and Luke Munier.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, John and Lillian, husband Tony Wright Sr. and son Nakia Wright.
There will be a celebration of Karen’s life in the spring, but for now friends and loved ones may send their loving thoughts and prayers for her eternal peace.
