Lillian A. Cordero passed away early Wednesday morning at the age of 91. Born in N.Y.C., moved later in life to Teaneck, NJ where she resided until her death. Lillian was loved by so many people from different parts of her life. Lifelong friends from her days at St. Mary’s Nursing School (graduated 1953); from her time at Seton Hall (graduated 1963); from her time as a lecturer at St. Mary’s and then from all her years at Englewood Hospital until her retirement. Lillian started at Englewood Hospital in 1977. She was the Head Nurse of the Nursery. She updated protocols and procedures. She provided those there with education that enabled them to assume more responsibilities. In the early 90’s she was made Director of the Pediatric and OB Clinic of Englewood Hospital. She was an amazing wealth of knowledge to doctors and nurses alike. She was a lifelong parishioner of St. Josephs RC Church in Bogota. Lillian loved people unconditionally. She was a wonderful friend and aunt to so many. She was independent and feisty. She was brilliant and funny. Lillian touched the lives of hundreds and will truly be missed. Visiting at Riewerts Memorial Home, 187 So. Washington Ave., Bergenfield on Saturday 10-11:45 AM. Funeral service at the funeral home on Saturday at 11:45 AM. Interment Brookside Cemetery, Englewood.
