Lillian Marie Shipp (nee Nassor), passed away peacefully on December 19, 2017. Born on May 5th, 1927 in Hackensack, NJ, she resided in Bergenfield, NJ prior to settling in Golden, CO. Lilly is survived by her loving children: Jeannine Shipp- DeMalteris, Michelle Shipp-Thacker, Georgette Acree, Frank Shipp and his wife Sharon. She is also survived by her adoring grandchildren: David, Larissa, Ian, Miles, Francis, Danny, Jonathan, Alexander and Benjamin, as well as her nieces, nephews and cousins. Lilly was a dedicated parishioner of St. Anthony's Church in Bergenfield, having served as President of the Lady's Guild and Chairwoman of the Church Festival. She was also a member of the church choir. Lilly worked for years at the Valley Hospital in Ridgewood as an EKG Technician and was an avid fan of Frank Sinatra. Lilly was the rock of her family. It was deeply woven into her nature to see the best in others and to enable them to see the best in their own selves. Lillian is predeceased by her loving husband, Frank and her siblings: Edward, Charles, George, Alfred, Helen, Dorothy and Eleanor. Visiting will be held on Friday, December 29th between 4pm - 8pm at Riewerts Memorial Home, 187 South Washington Ave., Bergenfield, NJ. A Funeral service will be celebrated on Saturday, December 30th at 9:00 AM at Saint Anthony's Church, 385 Ivy Lane, Bergenfield, NJ, followed by the burial at Hackensack cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to St. Anthony's Orthodox Church, Bergenfield.
