Linda Molloy, (née Austin), age 53, of Bergenfield, died suddenly on Friday, June 26, 2020. Linda graduated from Dumont High School, class of 1984, and worked for many years in cosmetics. Linda loved music, especially if she could sing along to the songs, and was a highly competitive player at any game night. She would fall in love with different colors at different times, changing her signature color with abandon, but usually settled back to orange. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Emily Ludwig. Linda was born to Carol Ann and Patrick Austin, and is also survived by her four siblings: three brothers, Patrick, Stephen, and her twin Joseph, and her sister, Molly Mazzurco, and also by her husband, Robert Murphy. Her extended family includes her in-laws: Richard Akin, Lisa Austin, Missy Austin, and Philip Mazzurco, and her nieces and nephews: Patrick, Jessica, Elise, Ryan, Philip, Sophia, and Olivia.
Her family, friends, cousins, and loved ones will always remember Linda’s contagious smile and laugh, and her love for her family. A Barry Manilow or Partridge Family song cannot be played without thinking of Linda, and how one of her greatest joys was simply being with and enjoying her friends and family.
A service for Linda will be coordinated at a later time.
