Lydia A. Heckler

November 14, 1930 — November 4, 2015

Lydia A. Heckler (nee Lingner) of Bergenfield passed away on November 4, 2015. She was a retired Secretary from the Borough of Bergenfield and worked for the Northern Valley Planning Association. She was a member of the Bergen County Twins Mother's Club for 52 yrs and a Republican County Committee Woman. She was a member of the Robert Nolan Chorus and the Knickerbocker Chorale. She was a member of South Presbyterian Church and a member of the Choir for 60 yrs. She was a Bergenfield Girl Scout Leader, an Avon Lady for 30 yrs, an avid BINGO player and loved crafts and knitting. She loved her summers in Vermont and especially loved and supported her children and grandchildren. Devoted wife of LeRoy E. Heckler. Beloved mother of Karen Snyder, Linda Titus, Nancy Lignos, Wendy Murphy, Laura Heckler and the late Diane Heckler. Loving grandmother of Craig, Kristen, Kevin and Ryan Snyder, Jaclyn and Jonathan Korohmas, Jennifer Titus, Alexis, Angela, Ashley, Andrew and Ariana Lignos, Lauren Murphy and Bobby and Jessica Yurkin and great grandmother of Elliot Korohmas. Visiting at Riewerts Memorial Home, 187 So. Washington Ave., Bergenfield on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral service at South Presbyterian Church, 138 W. Church St., Bergenfield, NJ on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at 11 AM followed by interment at the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the South Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund.
