Margie Quille passed away peacefully on February 26^th, surrounded by loved ones at Hackensack Hospital, NJ. 

Margie was born to Owen and Madge O’Donnell in Acres Burtonport, County Donegal, Ireland, on January 8, 1938 and emigrated to the United States in 1973.  It was in New York City that Margie met Jack, with whom she spent 16 devoted and loving years until Jack’s passing in 1997.  Together, they raised their daughter, Mary, in Bergenfield, New Jersey, where they were active in their community, while staying true to their Irish roots.  Margie was a long-time member of Early McLoughlin School of Irish Dancing, as well as the Bergen Irish Association.  Steadfast in her faith, Margie was also a parishioner of both St. John the Evangelist in Bergenfield, NJ, as well as St. Columba’s Church in Acres Burtonport County Donegal. 

Ten years ago, Margie suffered a stroke, and while this impaired her physically and made life a bit more challenging, it never diminished her spirit, sense of humor and love of travel, especially home to Ireland.

Margie is predeceased by her brothers and sisters Annie (Jim), Hugh (Rosaleen), Patrick, Danny, Mary (Tommy) and Eugene (Mary).  She is also predeceased by her brothers in law and sisters in law, Michael (Betty), Maureen, Eileen, Breda (John) and Collette.  Margie is survived by her loving daughter Mary.  Also surviving are brother Connie (Fran), as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family, and a wide circle of friends in both New Jersey and Ireland. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to  St Jude's Hospital or American Stroke Association. 

The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 7:00 on Wednesday, March 2^nd at Riewerts Memorial Home, at 187 South Washington Avenue, Bergenfield, NJ 07621.  A funeral mass will be held at St. John the Evangelist, 29 North Washington Avenue, Bergenfield, NJ 07621 at 11am, on March 3, 2022.

Margie will be laid to rest, alongside her husband Jack, in Listowel, County Kerry, Ireland.
