Margaret Gillies

Margaret "Peggy" Gillies (née Steele) of Bergenfield passed away peacefully on October 13, 2016 at the age of 90. Loving wife of the late Robert E. Gillies. Beloved mother of Richard Gillies and wife Diane, Daniel Gillies and wife Susan, Kenneth Gillies and wife Janet, Janet Gillies, Terry McIndoe and husband Michael, Robert A. Gillies, and Margaret Jane Albert and husband James. Cherished grandmother of 29 and greatgrandmother of 16. Dear aunt to many nieces and nephews. She is survived by her sisters Janet Steele and Betsy Myers. Peggy was a long time parishioner of Church of the Good Shepherd in Bergenfield. Friends and family are invited to celebrate her life at Church of the Good Shepherd 326 New Bridge Rd Bergenfield NJ 07621 on Sunday October 16th at 4:45 pm for the memorial service at 5 pm. Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Church of the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church in Bergenfield or V.F.W. Post #6467 Ladies Auxiliary.
