Marie A. DaCosta

Marie Caggiano-DaCosta, 81 of Bergenfield, passed away suddenly on February 23, 2017 in Englewood. Visitation will be held at Riewerts Memorial Home, 187 S Washington Ave., Bergenfield on Wed. March 1, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9PM with the funeral service at 8:30PM. Marie was born in Teaneck to Frank and Mary Caggiano on May 13, 1935. She graduated Teaneck High School. After graduating she worked for Summit Bank, Hackensack as a switchboard operator. She was a member of the Garden Club in Bergenfield for several years. She also worked and later volunteered at Woodcrest Center Nursing Home in New Milford. She was an avid reader, loved animals and her grandchildren. Marie is predeceased in death by her parents, Frank and Mary Caggiano, her brother Frank Jr., and her recently departed husband, Edward DaCosta. Marie is survived by her son Frank Edward DaCosta, his wife Jennifer and her grandchildren Jake and Ally DaCosta. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Bergenfield Vol. Ambulance Corps. and or Bergenfield Police PBA #309. The family would like to extend it's gratitude to everyone who has helped Marie and her family.
