Marina was a feisty soul. She was never sitting for very long and quick to tell you that you needed to eat something or offer you a cup of tea. She had her hair done meticulously every weekend. Crossword puzzles where no match for "Lucky". And lucky is how you felt after meeting her. Post dinner ice cream with her was a must and don't you dare be late for dinner! Falling off a ladder wouldn't slow her down...the gutters needed cleaning! "Kate, get out of the kitchen!" I wish she could yell at me again or tell me my blood was too thin. I love you, Mama. My heart breaks for my kids who needed more time with you and for my husband who doesn't want to enter your house without you. God bless the lives you touched over your 93 years.

My best friend's mom! Met her when I was 16-17 years old, a lifetime ago! What a wonderful soul she was! Always looked on the bright side of everything! Rest in Peace!
