Mario F. Benelada

Mario Benelada, 75 years old, passed away on November 14, 2019 at Holy Name Medical Center, Taeneck, New Jersey. He was the husband of Rosario Adoracion Benelada whom he shared 56 years of marriage together.
Born in Pagsanjan, Laguna Philippines, he was the son of Moises Benelada and Ester Caparas. He attended Francisco Benitez Memorial School in Pagsanjan Laguna Philippines and finished primary level of education. He was a creative shoemaker of his own manufacturing shoe shop.
He was an active member of Immanuel Baptist Church of Pagsanjan in the Philippines. He enjoyed cooking unique dishes, socializing with family and friends and fishing. He will be greatly remembered for his cheerful personality, heartfelt advices and beautiful smile.
He is survived by his wife Rosario, his children May and Marciano Macalintal, Jr. , Melanie and Paul Roderick Zotomayor, Allan Benelada and Maria Sandra Erwina Alejandro and Ronielon Basco; his grandchildren Chrisearl Basco, Herschel Macalintal, Yasmin Ena Dela Cruz, Rannie Basco, Kaithlyn Pearl and Kathryn Paula Zotomayor, Jharri Achilla, Achilles and Mekchealli Anne Benelada; his great grandchild Mikhayla Kenna Ramos; together with his brother and sisters. He was predeceased by his first born daughter Janie Basco.
The memorial service will be held on November 23 at 5:00 to 6:30PM at Church of the Good Shepherd UMC in Bergenfield, New Jersey before his repatriation to the Philippines. A funeral service will then be held on Dec. 1 at 1:30pm at Immanuel Baptist Church of Pagsanjan with interment at the Ala-Ala Memorial Park. The viewing will be held from Nov. 28, 7am up to the time of the service.
