Marion Burke

Marion Burke, a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 17, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. Born August 16, 1930, Marion’s journey on this earth was marked by love, kindness, and unwavering faith.

Marion was the devoted mother of 9 children: Patricia (Bill), Billy (Donna), Nora (Alfred), Barbara (Brian), Brian (Susan), Terrance (Maria), Debbie (Joseph), Catherine (Vincent), and the late Mary (Walter).

Loving grandmother to 22 grandchildren and great-grandmother to 21 great-grandchildren. Cherished sister to Barbara and Robert.

Predeceased by her beloved husband, William, her daughter Mary, her sister Lois Page, and her great-grandson Ryan.

A resident of Bergenfield since 1969, Marion was a friend to everyone, always ready to lend a helping hand or listening ear. A devout Catholic, she found strength and solace in her beliefs, which guided her through life’s ups and downs. Her unwavering trust in God was an inspiration to all who knew her.

Her love for her children knew no bounds, and she dedicated her life to their well-being and happiness. One of Marion’s greatest joys was watching her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren grow up. She took immense pride in their milestones and achievements, big and small.

Marion Burke will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. She touched the lives of countless people and leaves behind a legacy of love that will never be forgotten. May she rest in peace knowing that she was truly an angel on earth.

Visiting will be held Monday, April 22nd from 2-4 and 7-9pm at Riewerts Memorial Home in Bergenfield. Funeral Mass on Tuesday, April 23rd at 10am at St. Pius X Church in Old Tappan. Interment to follow at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus.
