Martin Joseph Jennings

Martin Joseph Jennings passed away on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, after a brief battle with an aggressive form of brain cancer. He was 77.

    Martin was born to the late Martin and Mary Jennings, in Bronx, NY on October 30,1945. A proud disabled veteran of the United States Army and graduate of Mercy College, his service continued during his long dedicated career with the Veterans Administration Medical Center. He married his devoted wife Nuala on May 18, 1974. Martin and Nuala moved to Bergenfield where they raised their large loving family.

    Martin is survived by his wife, Nuala; his daughters Megan Timmons (Brian), Colleen Shin (Peter), Cara Grooms (Christopher) and his son Martin Jennings. His grandchildren Kaleigh, Alanna, and Declan Timmons; Fiona, Maya, and Keira Shin; and Monroe Grooms will miss their adoring Papa.

   Visiting is Sunday, December 11th, at Riewerts Memorial Home, 187 S. Washington Avenue, Bergenfield, NJ from 4pm to 8pm. All will gather for a Funeral Mass at St. John the Evangelist, 29 N. Washington Avenue, Bergenfield, NJ on Monday, December 12 at 10 AM. Interment at Maryrest Cemetery, Mahwah, N J.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Bergenfield Volunteer Ambulance Corps.
