Mary B. Dickson

Mary B. Dickson (nee: Corrigan) of Rye Brook NY, formerly from Bergenfield NJ passed away peacefully on January 11, 2015 surrounded by her family. Born on November 1, 1922 to Margaret and James Corrigan. Mary attended Cathedral High School and went on to work for the US Rubber Company. On Aug 17, 1946 she married her loving husband George Dickson in Manhattan, NY. In 1965, the family moved to Bergenfield NJ and raised their six children. Mary was a parishioner of St. John the Evangelist and a member of the Rosary Society, Golden Age Club and the Red Hat Society. In 2008, Mary moved to Rye Brook, NY but never forgot her many friends and fond memories that she had while residing in Bergenfield. She was an avid reader and thoroughly enjoyed vacationing with her children and grandchildren, especially in Sarasota Fl where she always had so many fond memories over the past twenty years. Mary was a devoted mother, and her greatest joy was time spent with her family. Anyone who knew Mary enjoyed her friendship; she will be missed by many whose lives she touched. Mary is survived by her five children, Maryann (Kevin) Weimann, James (Lucy) Dickson, Steven Dickson, Jean (Edward) McLaughlin, Karen (Matthew) Notarangelo, 10 grandchildren and was recently blessed with two great grandchildren. Mary was predeceased by her son George Jr., her husband George, and sister, Margaret McBride. The family will receive friends on Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Riewerts Memorial Home Bergenfield, NJ. All will meet at the funeral home Friday at 9 am for the Mass of Christian Burial at St John the Evangelist Church, Bergenfield at 10 am. Interment to follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus NJ.
