MaryAnn Cappella Bailey

MaryAnn Cappella-Bailey passed away on the morning of July 2nd.

Born June 1st, 1945, MaryAnn was raised by Anthony and Anna Cappella in ‘Little Italy,' New York City until the family later moved to the suburbs of Teaneck, NJ.

She graduated from The Academy of Holy Angels and went to start a family having a daughter and son.

She attended Bergen Community College to get her Associates degree and received her BSN from Dominican College. Mary Ann had a career as a nurse, working in Bergen County, NJ and Rockland, NY.

She was very active in the Catholic Church: Third Order Carmelite, Catholic Youth Volunteer, Women’s Bible Study, and other various adult groups. As well as an active member in Cresskill’s Community working with Boy Scouts and volunteering at Merrit Memorial Elementary School.

MaryAnn was an avid reader and passionate collector.

She leaves her husband of almost 50 years, Bill Bailey, her daughter Stacey and her husband Perry, son Kenneth and his wife Dominique. Her grandchildren, who knew her as ‘Mimi’ and became her light of the world Dominick Manoy, Raffaela Manoy and Lawerence Bailey. She leaves her sister Marguerite, her husband Jim Mcewan and nephew Alexander. Mary Ann’s parents Anthony and Anna Cappella pre-deceased her.
